ABOUT ME

IMG_20210728_121218.jpg

With a postgraduate degree from the UK, I have more than a decade and a half of professional experience having worked in the public, private and NGO sectors in distinct positions in which I have accrued extensive writing, editing and research skills.

Since moving to Santiago, Chile from London in 2010, I have built up over a decade of experience working as a freelance provider of bespoke language and research services, specialising in translations and editing related to academic research, human rights and business and the production of research material from some the leading Chilean economic sectors.

English is my mother tongue and I grew up primarily in the United Kingdom, after having spent my early childhood in Greece. I am fluent in both spoken and written Spanish.

My approach to freelancing is to prioritise flexibility in all client-based relationships to ensure a collaborative and high-quality final product. This has enabled me to build a diverse portfolio of clients as well as acquire expertise as a freelancer in the provision of language and research services.

With strong language and communication skills, both written and oral, in addition to extensive experience of applying distinct research and data analysis techniques to my investigations, I am highly qualified to produce high-quality and well-written material. I conduct my work according to the highest standards by ensuring regular contact with clients during each and every project. Crucially, I find the key to this is the ability to listen carefully in order to clearly understand my clients' requirements.

I have a Master's in Human Rights with International Relations and a bachelor's degree in Politics and Modern History, both from the University of Manchester, United Kingdom.

I live in the south of Chile with my wife and our two noisy little boys.
